Behind the Words

Family, friends, and strangers - welcome to Local A[na]esthetic. This passion project was brought about by my love of the interconnected nature of people, places, histories, cultures, languages, politics, music, art and architecture, and the way it serves to create life and purpose.

I'm a student of Political Science & International Relations and Management, an avid volunteer, public-relations and marketing assistant, writer, founder, family member and friend.

Working in the writing and digital marketing industry since 2016, I have learnt the advantages of embracing uniqueness and capitalising on diversity of experience, thought and context.

​

I am forever struck by the power, understanding, and deep joy one can find from the community of words made by letters. Stories, and writing at large, has a profound impact in evoking emotions and creating memories. As a writer, ultimately the goal beyond having your work read, is achieving such a point of synergy and resonance with an audience that you feel your legacy has transcended the actual ink or typed form itself.

I invite you to join me on my journey of interpreting the world around me - its local communities and global stages, its bright young change makers and passionate creatives, its conflicts and contentions - through both written and visual forms.
